Sam Kim is a Korean social venture capitalist committed to driving social impact through innovation. As a partner at Sukuma Ventures in Singapore, he bridges the digital divide in Sub-Saharan Africa. He is also the founder of GoChapaa, a Kenyan blockchain start-up offering fiat on and off ramp, cross border remittances, and financial education.

With over 30 years of experience in investment banking, social entrepreneurship, and regulatory collaboration, Sam is a leader in leveraging technology to advance the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). He has lectured at top universities and spoken at the World Economic Forum.

A former indie rock guitarist with two recorded albums, Sam holds an M.A. from New York University and a B.A. from Hankuk University of Foreign Studies.
