Mary Huen is currently an Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer, Hong Kong and Greater China & North Asia, at Standard Chartered Bank (Hong Kong) Limited. 

Mary has over 30 years of experience in business management and banking services.  Since joining the bank in 1991, she has held key positions across balance sheet product management, wealth management and distribution. Prior to her current role, Mary was the Chief Executive Officer of Hong Kong and Cluster Chief Executive Officer (Hong Kong, Taiwan & Macau).  Before becoming CEO, she was the Regional Head of Retail Banking, Greater China & North Asia. In addition to sitting on the Board of Standard Chartered Bank (Hong Kong) Limited, Mary chairs the Board of Standard Chartered Bank (Taiwan) Limited and has also been part of the Group Management Team since 2021. 

Mary is the Chairperson of the Hong Kong Association of Banks.  She is a member of the Hong Kong Monetary Authority’s (HKMA) Banking Advisory Committee and the HKMA’s Currency Board Sub-Committee.  She is also the Vice President of the council of the Hong Kong Institute of Bankers and a council member of the Treasury Markets Association.  She has been a member of the Hong Kong Academy of Finance since its establishment in 2019.

Outside of banking, Mary has been appointed as a representative of Hong Kong, China to the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Business Advisory Council, a council member of the Hong Kong Management Association, a council member of the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (“HKTDC”), a member of the HKTDC Belt and Road & Greater Bay Area Committee, the HKSAR Government Aviation Development and Three-runway System Advisory Committee, and the HKSAR Government Human Resources Planning Commission.  Mary also holds Board positions in the Hong Kong Hospital Authority and the Hong Kong Tourism Board.
