Martin Bauman, is co-founder and Managing Partner at CMCC Global, one of Asia’s first venture capital funds focused solely on blockchain investments. His company launched its first digital asset fund in 2016 when Bitcoin was trading at 600 USD/BTC and Ethereum at 7 USD/ETH. The firm subsequently launched two more liquid VC funds in 2017 and 2018. Today, CMCC Global has three business lines, it is managing two digital asset funds, a fund of quantitative hedge funds which is managed as a joined venture with a Swiss private bank and Willy Woo and its Titan Fund, which invests into the equity of early stage web3 start-ups. CMCC Global counts over 300 professional investors and is backed by some of the highest profile family offices in Asia and beyond. It has offices in Hong Kong and Toronto.
Martin started his career as an investment banker focussed on Mergers & Acquisitions. Prior to CMCC Global, he was CFO of a large Asian fintech company.
