George Danezis, Chief Scientist and Co-Founder of Mysten Labs, leads scientific direction and development of distributed systems and security research. He is also a professor of security and privacy engineering at University College London. In addition to leading the research team and their outputs, George manages university relations, grants, conference sponsorships, and other academic programs. Prior to Mysten Labs, George was a research scientist and part of the Novi team at Meta designing and building the Diem payment network.
