Fereshteh Forough's remarkable journey epitomizes resilience, determination, and an enduring pursuit of education against all odds. As an Afghan refugee born in Iran, Fereshteh embodies the transformative power of learning. From refugee to technologist, her story is a testament to sheer perseverance.

After the fall of the Taliban in 2002, Forough returned to Afghanistan, earning her Bachelor's in Computer Science from Herat University. Her thirst for knowledge led her to pursue a Master's at the Technical University of Berlin. As a faculty member at Herat University, she shared her expertise with aspiring technologists.

In 2015, Forough founded Code to Inspire (CTI), Afghanistan's leading girls' coding school and one of the first nonprofits to accept cryptocurrency donations. Guiding CTI remotely, she has empowered over 1160 students through coding and graphic design classes. Beyond education, she pioneers blockchain technology and cryptocurrency, envisioning a future where Afghan women lead innovation.
