Alan is President of CoinDesk Indices. Before joining CoinDesk Indices, Alan launched Bloomberg’s index business, where most recently he was responsible for global product management for equity, commodity, crypto, FX, and multi-asset benchmarks. Through a combination of organic build, partnerships, and strategic acquisitions, Alan helped build a global multi-asset benchmark solution that changed the dynamics of the financial index industry. Prior to that role, he moved from London to New York to manage special projects and Bloomberg Terminal functions for the CEO. He left his role in London as Global Data Manager, where he led multiple teams responsible for data and customer service for products such as Funds, Economics, Derivatives, and Third-Party Indices. Alan has two kids and lives in New York City. He holds a B.A. in European Business and Languages from Glasgow Caledonian University.
