Akio Tanaka is the Founding Partner of IVC, a leading seed-stage crypto investor in Asia that focuses on Web3 gaming, digital entertainment, AI, DeFi, and infrastructure. He is also a Founding Partner of Headline Asia, leading high-profile investments in fintech, e-commerce, and logistics across Japan, China, and Taiwan. Earlier in his career, Akio served as the Head of Adobe Venture Investment Program in Asia, overseeing corporate venture investments across Greater China, Japan, and India. Before Adobe, he was the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of Macromedia Japan, where he played a key role in the management team, and also served as a Technology Advisor to the CEO.
